Nancy brings a wide range of personal and professional experience to her role as Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying).
Before completing her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology, Nancy was employed for over twelve years as a registered pharmacist. This history of hands-on, patient-centred care provides Nancy with a unique perspective on how to best support her clients’ physical and mental needs.
Nancy has a special interest in dealing with individual clients facing trauma-related issues, and couples clients dealing with marital and relationship concerns. She is a certified Prepare/Enrich - Couples and Family Facilitator, and has completed has extensive training using the Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model. Nancy uses a wide variety of therapy approaches including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).
Nancy is passionate about the need for her clients to be supported, accepted, and heard. She is a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, and is able to provide support in both English and Arabic.
On the personal side, Nancy has been married for more than fifteen years and has two school-aged children. She enjoys travelling with her family and playing ping-pong with her kids, and she is not ashamed to admit that chocolate is her favourite self-care measure.
