Individual Therapy / Couples Therapy
Tej (rhymes with ‘page’) has over two decades’ experience working in both corporate and client-facing roles in the health care field.
Her educational background includes undergraduate studies at the Ivey School of Business, an MBA from City University in London, as well as a Masters in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Further to this, Tej has also obtained certification as both a Chartered Professional Accountant and a Project Management Professional.
After 20 years working as an accountant, market analyst, project manager, and consultant in the pharmaceutical industry, Tej pivoted to a more hands-on role as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). Tej’s combination of counselling skills and lived experience afford her a unique perspective as she supports a wide range of clients ages 16+.
Tej takes a client-centred approach with clients, personalizing each session in a safe, trusting manner. This combination of warmth and wisdom forms the basis of Tej’s care as she engages clients using a variety of therapeutic approaches, including: Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy; Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy; Dialectical Behavioural Therapy; and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Tej is a proud member of both the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, as well as the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals.
On the personal side, she enjoys spending time with her teenage son and activities such as yoga, travel and baking. She cherishes outdoor time spent hiking or playing golf, and is not afraid to admit that she is a fan of very bad reality television.
