David has spent over a decade in a variety of counselling roles and serves as a Registered Psychotherapist on our team with a particular focus on therapy for teens and young adults.

David is driven by a passion to help clients find the hope and potential that is within them. He operates from a Strengths-Based perspective — meaning that his goal is to highlight his clients’ resilience and skills so they can begin to see their thoughts, feelings, and situations in new and empowering ways.

A particular strength of David’s is his ability to build deep connections with clients. He builds on these connections by using therapeutic approaches such as: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy.

Because of the ups and downs of his own mental health journey as a youth, David brings a deep sense of empathy and caring to every session. This heart—when combined with his wisdom and professional training—makes David’s approach a unique one.

David works with individual clients of all ages, with a particular focus on therapy for teens (grades 5+) and young adults. His skills and natural rapport allow him to journey alongside clients, supporting them through the ups and downs of life, regardless of age or situation.

Professionally speaking, David is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists, and a Professional Member of the Ontario Association for Mental Health Professionals.

On the personal side, David is not afraid to confess a lifelong love affair with the game of basketball. After playing into his college years, David now finds himself cheering on the Toronto Raptors alongside his beloved wife and three daughters.
