Rob Stanley is the clinic owner and leader of our team of Oakville therapists. Having spent over two decades in various counselling roles throughout Oakville and the GTA, Rob brings a wealth of experience to his role as psychotherapist.
Rob's approach is heavily influenced by Narrative and Person-Centred Therapy. Rob’s educational background—undergraduate studies in English Literature, Theology, and Cognitive Psychology; as well as a Masters in Counselling Psychology—greatly informs his approach.

His client work alongside our team of Oakville therapists includes personal counselling for individuals ages 14 and up with specific interest in the areas of: identity development; recovery from crisis and trauma; navigating life transitions; and assistance in values formation for both teens and adults.
Rob is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and is a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP). His research interests include the role of values in personal happiness; navigating stress & burnout; the role of empathy in client growth; as well as neurobiological studies into the power of thought. He is the creator of the CRPO Exam Video Training Course, and is also part of the supervisory team at Insight Clinical Supervision.
On the personal side, Rob has been married for over twenty years and has four children. He enjoys spending time with family, bingeing historical documentaries, middle distance running, and spoiling his four year-old havapoo, Ollie.
